John Terry – Former Chelsea FC captain
Chelsea FC’s most decorated captain speaks about the importance of the new FIFA Club World Cup for his former team and how much players will be looking forward to participate. “I would’ve loved to have won it and added that to my collection”, says one of the greatest English defender ever.
Alessandro Del Piero and Gianluigi Buffon – Juventus FC
Two of the greatest Juventus FC legends and winners of the FIFA World Cup 2006 with Italy, striker Alessandro Del Piero and goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon are very curious and excited about the format of the new FIFA Club World Cup. “Managing to put together the best clubs in the world, from all countries, is a very fascinating event, and it is also going to be very nice to watch”, says Del Piero. “Football needs to come up with something new, to innovate. And to me this Club World Cup is a great call.” adds Buffon.
Pável Pardo – Former Mexico International
One of the best Mexican players of the last decades – he won trophies with Club América as well as the Bundesliga with VfB Stuttgart and the FIFA Confederations Cup and Concacaf Gold Cup with the Mexican national team – Pardo sees the new FIFA Club World Cup as a unique opportunity to showcase the skills of Mexican teams. “It fills you with pride to be Mexican, not just because of the national team, but also because of the various clubs.”
